Wifi Driver For Windows 8

Dear all
Due to a virus problem, I have had to install windows (xp) on my laptop but in device manager under other devices the following item has yellow question marks:-
network controller
As network controller driver is missing I can't connect to the internet to download drivers directly from internet, though I do have access to the internet via another pc.
Can somebody please help me get my laptop back on the internet?

Network Controller Driver Compaq
Feb 06, 2019 network controller missing drivers my acer aspire 5253 is missng it driver for network controller the wierd thing is the controller has no name so i dont know who made it, can someone help? So we Google for 'hp realtek rtl8102e driver' and take a quick look at the results. It is almost impossible to help you with so little information. If you could, please fill us in on what kind of problem you are having. All we know is you need a driver for an ethernet controller on windows 8.
